What is Only Soft Things?

Only Soft Things is a Cape Town-based comfort bundle brand. We handcraft curated gift boxes filled with beautiful, intentional things; a homemade soy candle, handmade lip balm, gel pens, washi tape, a crochet bookmark, a beaded keychain and more, all packed by hand and delivered across South Africa. Every bundle is gathered with care and wrapped with love.

What does the colour variant affect?

The contents of every bundle are the same across colour variants. What changes is the colour palette of the packaging and items inside. This includes the tissue paper, ribbon, notebook and pen colours. So a neutral bundle will have warm cream and linen tones throughout. The colour you choose creates a cohesive, beautiful look from the moment the box is opened.

Are the candles and lip balm really handmade?

Yes, every candle and every lip balm is made by us, by hand. Our soy candles are hand-poured using quality fragrance oils and natural soy wax. Our lip balm is made from beeswax, shea butter, carrier oils and essential oils. No mass-produced substitutes. That's a promise.

Are the crochet bookmarks handmade too?

Yes. Every crochet bookmark is made by hand. Each one is slightly unique, as handmade things always are. They are made locally and take time and care to produce, which is exactly why we love including them.

How do I place an order?

You can order in two ways:

Online: Browse our shop at onlysoftthings.co.za, choose your bundle and colour, add to cart and check out securely. You'll receive an order confirmation by email.

Via WhatsApp: Message us directly on WhatsApp, tell us which bundle and colour you'd like and we'll send you a payment link.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, instant EFT, Capitec and SnapScan, all processed securely through PayFast. If you're ordering via WhatsApp, we can also accept direct EFT. Your payment details are never stored on our site.

Can I include a personal gift message?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Add your message in the order notes field at checkout, and we'll write it on an insert card, tucked inside the box. No extra charge. If you're ordering via WhatsApp, just send us your message when you place your order. The most meaningful part of a gift is always the words that come with it.

Can I customise a bundle?

Yes. We offer a custom colour option.

Choose any of our standard bundles in your preferred colour palette.

Will I see my custom bundle before it's sent?

Yes. We photograph the finished bundle and send you a sneak peek via WhatsApp before we dispatch. This gives you a chance to confirm everything looks perfect. It's one of our favourite parts of the process.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes. We deliver to all nine provinces across South Africa via courier. Whether you're in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, a small town in the Eastern Cape or anywhere in between, we'll get your bundle to you.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on your location. We charge a flat courier rate via The Courier Guy. Delivery is free on orders over R600. We're always looking at ways to make delivery more affordable and will update this as our options expand.

Can I have a bundle delivered directly to the recipient?

Absolutely, and many of our customers do exactly this. Simply enter the recipient's address at checkout as the delivery address. Add a personal message in the order notes and we'll include it on an insert card inside the box. The bundle arrives completely gift-ready, no extra wrapping needed.

Are your products eco-friendly?

We care deeply about what we put into our bundles and how we pack them. Our candles use natural soy wax, our lip balm uses natural ingredients and we use recycled kraft hamper boxes and tissue paper where possible. We're a small brand that is constantly looking for ways to be more sustainable. It's an ongoing commitment, not a checkbox.
